The Court of Honor is at Lofino Park the Pavilion at the YMCA on Grange Hall.
We are having a Potluck from 6 to 7 and the meeting will start at 7.
The troop is providing the meat!
Each family needs to bring a dish, their own drinks and chairs if you want.
We will have plates and silverware.

2008 TROOP 42 PHILMONT EXPEDITION

Dates: June 21 – July 4, 2008

Description: The Philmont High Adventure backpacking trek is considered by many to be the ultimate experience in scouting. Philmont Scout Ranch is 137,000 acres of rugged, majestic terrain in the Sangre de Christo Mountains in New Mexico . The expedition involves a 12-day backpacking trek crossing mountains as high as 12,000 ft. Along the way there are opportunities to participate in many activities such as horseback riding, rock climbing, rappelling, fishing, panning for gold, blacksmithing, burro packing, black powder rifle shooting, search and rescue, and learning the way of the mountain man and Native American peoples. The specific trek itinerary and associated activities are determined several months before departure.

Eligibility: age 14 by January 1, 2008 or age 13 and completion of eighth grade by June 2008

Availability: We have been awarded 2 crews of 7-12 participants (scouts and leaders). Each crew must have at least 2 adult leaders but may include up to 4 adults. We need at least 14 to take 2 crews and can take as many as 24. We will take people on a first come, first serve basis.
